...DOULa SERVICES FOR YOUR BIRTH JOURNEY
support. empowerment. love.
support. empowerment. love.
Honey Births was born from a desire to champion positive and healthy birth experiences. To bare witness to the journey taken with the birth of a baby and the birth of a family is a profound & privileged experience.
Birth is a tribute to love and the beauty of life. The chaos of birth results in a potent and precious love. A love that we can support and rejoice in.
Your Doula, Roberta Stuart, is DONA trained. Working as a Doula in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond & the Greater Vancouver Area in 2000-2002, then taking a pause to raise her own three children. In 2017, she updated her training and has been working privately, and working with the South Community Birth Program.
Roberta supports the birthgiver to navigate their journey as captain of their ship. Midwives, Doctors, Nurses, Doula and the Partner are all support crew to this journey. The Doula’s role to is create a secure and calm environment and to give space for questions to be discussed and answered for the birthgiver and partner. Doula’s are not medical professionals, however, they bring their unique experiences with birthing and their sensibility of birth as a natural state to be celebrated. Roberta is a committed advocate of birth choice and has attended home births, water births, hospital births, VBAC births, and Caesarean births.
